Roy Choudhury Builders has been building, plumbing and repairing across Tripura since 1993.
What started as a small contracting outfit has stayed deliberately small in one sense — it is still run by the same family, and the person who quotes your job is still the person who turns up to supervise it. What has grown is what we can take on: from single-room repairs to projects worth a crore, managed end to end.
The reason we do construction and plumbing together is not that it is convenient for us. It is that most of the problems people call us to fix in older houses come from the gap between the two trades — services chased into a wall after it was built, drains laid at the wrong fall, waterproofing skipped under a bathroom floor. When one team plans both, those problems mostly do not happen.
We work across most of Tripura, mainly around Agartala. Most of our work still comes from people who were recommended by someone we built for years ago, which is the only kind of advertising we have really relied on.
